First things first, if you haven't seen the Avengers: Infinity War trailer watch it below.
At the end of Thor: Ragnarok we see Loki take the Tesseract, that includes one of the infinity stones, and hop on a ship with Thor, Hulk, and the rest of the Asgardians. Then in the end credit of the film, we see a shadow looming over the Asgardian filled ship when it reaches Earth and this is most likely Thanos coming to collect his stone. Next time we see Loki he looking at someone, most likely Thanos, and handing them the infinity stone.

Why would Loki voluntarily hand over the Infinity Stone? Is he undoing all of his redemption and turning dark again? Well, unless you cry when you're trying to be evil, the answer is probably no. So why did it do it then?
If you look back at the trailer just before Loki pops up, there is a shot of someone walking through a crowd of dead bodies. From their attire, I can only assume that these people are the saved Asgardians from Thor: Ragnarok and that Thanos has killed every last one of them to get to the stone. Loki has just seen the destruction of his home and now his people and unless he hands over the stone he, and probably Thor, will meet the same fate. Loki acts on self-preservation most of the time, so even though he knows that he probably shouldn't hand over the stone to this big purple guy, he wants to live. This also explains why he looks so sad in the trailer.

But if Loki gives Thanos the stone, Loki will be safe and Thanos won't hurt him, right? No... Probably not.
There are 3 reasons as to why I think that Loki will die in Infinity War. The first being, Thanos is not a good guy. Just because he said he wouldn't kill Loki if he handed over the stone, doesn't mean he'll keep his word. After all, he did just destroy an entire people in one go. Also, if your the big bad guy in the movie and you have a chance to kill someone who is powerful and could oppose you later, you're going to take the opportunity.
Secondly, Loki hasn't been a part of the promotion for Avengers: Infinity War, excluding this small clip in the trailer. He wasn't included in the big Vanity MCU photoshoot. This leads me to believe that he has been missed out because he doesn't have a big role in the movie. I do feel like the only reason Marvel would leave out such a fan favourite, like Loki, is because something terrible happens to him cutting his time short.
Last but not least, Loki's death would be almost poetic. Loki has been the main antagonist of the MCU so far and is also everyone's favourite MCU villain. Since Avengers: Infinity War is the beginning of the end for this chapter of the MCU, it would make sense to kill off the main bad guy. It cuts off loose ends for the new chapter of the MCU and truly ends the first story of the Avengers.
Also, nothing proves Thanos' strength and sheer evilness more than easily killing off the man who has had Thor and the Avengers wrapped around his little finger for the last few years.
This being said... I hope I'm terribly wrong and Loki escapes the Infinity War and has a nice life. He deserves it.
